REACH
The European Chemical Agency (ECHA) has current and future substances identified as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Once a substance is added to the SVHC Candidate List, the EU REACH Regulation imposes immediate obligations on manufacturers and importers to declare the substances if present. Substances of Very High Concern include CMR’s (Carcinogen, Mutagen, and Reproductive Toxins), PBT’s (Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic), vPvB’s (very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative) or substances representing equivalent concern (e.g. endocrine disruptors and respiratory sensitizers). Article 33(1) of the REACH Regulation states that manufacturers and importers of articles (products) are required to notify their customers of the presence of any Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) in their products exceeding 0.1% by weight and provide instructions on safe use of the product.
Granula uses no SVHC substances within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 REACH for the production of its masterbatch products, either as additive or active ingredient, and meets all restrictions regarding the maximum permitted concentrations < 0.1 % (w/w).
